Overview

Young British bass William Thomas crowns a season including his debut performances at Carnegie Hall and the Bavarian State Opera with a recital of songs shot through with the yearning pull of love, loss and nostalgia. Stirring melodies and big emotions surface in Henri Sauguet’s cycle of songs to verse by Picasso’s friend Max Jacob and Samuel Barber’s powerful early songs.
