    Overview

The Signum Quartet’s gilt-edged reputation rests on the searching honesty and expressive sensitivity of its interpretations. The group returns to Wigmore Hall with Brahms’s first string quartet, completed in the summer of 1873, and Janáček’s impassioned ‘Intimate Letters’, the elderly Czech composer’s ecstatic expression of love for the much younger Kamila Stösslová.
