Mitsuko Uchida brings a lifetime’s study to her interpretations of Beethoven’s final Piano Sonatas. She is set to unlock the sublime poetry and infinite shades of expression that belong to three of the great monuments of 19th-century music. ‘Uchida’s profound understanding of the composer’s intentions was implicit,’ noted the Guardian in its 5-star review of her performance of the pieces in 2023.
