Overview

Three superlative artists, renowned for their poetic artistry and breathtaking virtuosity, join forces for a programme of early yet strikingly mature works. Beethoven’s volatile Piano Trio in C minor makes the ideal companion to Shostakovich’s First Piano Trio, composed just over a century ago, and Rachmaninov’s monumental Trio élégiaque, written in memory of Tchaikovsky.
