Programme

Overview

The quartet Meta4, former BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, presents two works defined by their intricate craft, expressive freedom and inventive richness. Each of Sally Beamish’s ‘Nine Fragments', heard for the first time at Wigmore Hall in 2019, tilts what the composer describes as ‘a broken mirror towards a particular passage’ in Schumann’s A minor String Quartet.
