A welcome and continuing phenomenon over the last few years is the slow but steady return to the repertoire of the music of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor – an act of reclamation that restores to today’s audiences works which their predecessors relished. The 2022/23 Season shines a light on the songs and chamber music of a composer once a frequent visitor to and performer at Wigmore Hall, led by artists in the vanguard of the rediscovery of his exceptional output: soprano Elizabeth Llewellyn and pianist Simon Lepper survey his songs, while Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective present his chamber works.
