Disabled access and facilities

We aim to ensure that Wigmore Hall is accessible to all. If you think you may experience access difficulties, or if you have any suggestions as to how we can improve our service, please contact us via email.

Wheelchair Users and Patrons who have a mobility impairment

Wigmore Hall has step free access from Wigmore Street. The foyer, Box Office and stalls are fully wheelchair accessible. A lift takes you from the ground floor down to the lower ground where there is easy access to the Restaurant, Learning Room and toilets.

There are 24 stairs leading up to the balcony and this is not accessible by lift. The balcony is unsuitable for wheelchair users and customers who find stairs a challenge.

There are a number of wheelchair spaces in the auditorium; these are available to customers who have joined our Access List, and are sold with a 50% discount of the standard ticket price and the discount is also extended to a personal assistant/carer if needed.

Once on our Access List, website visitors can book available wheelchair spaces. Our wheelchair spaces are at the rear of the stalls in Row Y. The three seats directly in front (Row X) are available as companion seats if required. Companions are also welcome to select any other available seat in the stalls.

Access discounts online, in person and by phone are only available for customers who have joined our Access List.

Assisted hearing facilities

Wigmore Hall is equipped with a Loop to help hearing aid users receive clear concert sound without background noise.

Patrons can use this facility by switching their hearing aids to ‘T’. A Loop is also installed at the Box Office window.

Hearing dogs are welcome in the auditorium. They can alternatively be left with our staff, who will provide fresh drinking water and a comfortable place to rest during the performance. Either way, please let us know when you book or email us, so that we can best accommodate you and your dog.

Visitors who are Blind or Partially Sighted

Guide dogs are welcome in the auditorium. They can alternatively be left with our staff, who will provide fresh drinking water and a comfortable place to rest during the performance. Either way, please let us know when you book or email us, so that we can best accommodate you and your dog.

If you have joined our Access List, and are booking online, please select a seat adjacent to an aisle to accommodate your dog. Should aisle seats not be available at the time of booking please email us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Re-admittance

We will do our very best to accommodate those needing to leave the auditorium during a performance due to a medical need. Depending on availability and the nature of the performance, this may mean temporary re-seating in a seat near the rear of the Hall until a suitable pause.
