Come and Create Band

What is Come and Create Band?

  • Come and Create Band is a music club at Wigmore Hall for young people aged 15 plus on the autism spectrum.

What happens at Come and Create?

  • Band members co-create new music, write, and sing songs, and explore different sound worlds with music leaders.
  • Social time is important in Come and Create Band, so each session has time at the start, middle, and end to catch up with other band members.
  • Most workshops finish with a sharing for family/carers and once a year we share a performance on Wigmore Hall’s stage.
  • Chance to work with guest artists and explore other art forms such as poetry and art.

Can I take part?

  • The band is designed for autistic young people aged 15 plus with low support needs.
  • We welcome young people with any kind of musical experience, from those who have no musical experience to experienced instrumentalists who want to try something new.
  • We provide a range of percussion, keyboards, and drums but you can bring any instruments you may have if you prefer.

When and where does Come and Create take place?

  • Workshops run 10:30AM – 1:00PM every other Saturday (during term time).
