Overview

Born in New Zealand, violinist Benjamin Baker studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and Royal College of Music. Since winning 1st prize at the 2016 Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York he is sought after as a chamber musician. His London-born violist partner, Timothy Ridout, is a BBC New Generation Artist and is as equally in demand as a chamber musician and recitalist. Their programme includes the 1897 Sarabande and 11 variations on a theme of Handel by Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen.
