Combining on their initial disc Beethoven and 20th-century Korean composer Isang Yun with Webern’s Langsamer Satz (a performance The Scotsman found ‘profoundly sublime’), of their third CD, which includes Berg’s Lyric Suite, The Sunday Times wrote, ‘the impressive Novus players, Korean protégés of the Belcea, give beautifully shaped readings, investing each piece with the right balance of drama and warmth.’
