Overview

Sets written in 1806 on an original theme and in the characteristic key of C minor, and another in 1809 on the Turkish March from The Ruins of Athens, contrast with a much earlier piece (1792) based on an arietta from a collection of 12 by the Italian composer Vincenzo Righini.
