Trainee Learning Assistant

We’re delighted to be working in partnership with A New Direction to offer a young person receiving Universal Credit a paid, six-month role through the Government’s Kickstart Scheme, as part of a collective of organisations in the creative, cultural and technology sectors.

The Trainee Learning Assistant will work closely with colleagues to develop their skills in the administration and co-ordination of creative music making projects and events.

As part of our ongoing commitment to be a fair, inclusive employer which offers paid pathways in and through the arts sector, the Trainee Learning Assistant will be supported to develop skills in and contribute to:

  • Event co-ordination
  • Partner and artist liaison
  • Copywriting
  • Safeguarding procedures
  • Evaluation

They will learn about the place of creative music making in social justice, mental health, trauma-informed practice and safeguarding through individual and team training, and through the placement itself.

Our aim is they will finish the six months with us with the confidence to gain further employment and a range of skills and knowledge crucial to working in the sector.

Our Trainee Learning Assistant for the 2021/22 season has now been appointed. Watch this space for news of future opportunities.
